Our thermography scanner might look like something out of Star Trek... which is pretty cool, let's be honest.

But what does it do?

To understand why we scan the spine using this technology, let’s dive into a basic understanding of the spine & nervous system.

Beam me up, Scotty.

The nervous system is the electrical system of the body. The electrical system coordinates every function in the body, including heat. The scanner reads heat patterns so we can see if the electrical system is firing on all cylinders or not.

It’s like getting a diagnostic checkup on your car.

Q&A

Q: Is it safe to get scanned?

A: The scanner is basically a state-of-the-art thermometer. It's safe to use for all ages, and is the best way to check kids to see how their nervous system is functioning.

Q: Does the scanner tell you where to adjust?

A: No, the scanner tells us if an adjustment is needed. Getting over-adjusted is just as bad as getting under-adjusted.

Q: Why do you need to use the scanner?

A: Chiropractors use their hands to check the spine. With the scanner, we can go beyond what our hands tell us, so we can see diagnostically how well your nervous system is functioning.
